1- From CDG airport, ORLY airport : 

-The simplest is the Taxi 

⚠︎ Do not follow anyone who claims to be taxi drivers. Go to the official Taxi line. 

No need to book a Taxi ahead, you ll always find one at the taxi line. 

Ask for the fixed rate.

 

- By RER and METRO 

Not recommended if you have luggages because of the many stairs ! ☞ www.ratp.fr

NEW : an EXPRESS metro line from ORLY has opened since July 2024

 

- By Air France buses  ☞ www.lebusdirect.com

That is the longest way !

 

* From CDG, Take the bus line n°4 until the stop Gare de Lyon. 

Then take a Taxi or take the metro or walk to get to Maison Chanzy.

 

* From ORLY, take the bus line n°1 until to the stop Gare Montparnasse.

Then take a Taxi or take the metro to get to Maison Chanzy. 

NEWS : an EXPRESS metro line from ORLY has opened since July 2024

 

2- From the railway stations (Gare du Nord, Gare de Lyon, Gare Montpartnasse, Gare d’Austerlitz) 

- Best is to take a taxi if you have luggages. The price depends on the distance :

Around 20€ from Gare de Lyon, 35€ from Gare du Nord and Austerlitz, 45€ from Gare Montparnasse. 

 

​- The metro is not recommended if you are loaded with luggages because of the many stairs !

( Beware of pick-pockets 👀 in the metro )

- It is possible to park in the neighborhood streets.

Parking is charged from Monday to Saturday from 9am to 8pm. Free the rest of the time and on holidays. 

About 7€ per hour

-   Please inform us of your arrival time so we can organize someone to welcome you (we do not have permanent staff).

You have the option of a self check-in with a key box. It is very easy. (Pre-payment required)

Since the Covid-19, to avoid any contact, we have settle a self check-in system. 

 

  • Remember to book your restaurants ! Everyone speaks English in Paris so you can call them directly.

 

  • If you come from abroad, do not forget to bring your adapters and electrical transformers to convert the voltage

  • Voltage in France is 220 Volts. 

 

-   If you have any particular request, do not hesitate to contact us beforehand.

  • Check-in starts at 3pm. 

  • Departure before 11pm. 

  • We have settle a self check-in and self check-out system. It is very easy.

  • Early check-in/ Late check-out  may be possible - please check availability first. 

  • Free Luggages hold is available before check-in and after check-out

-  We don’t have luggage porter, please make sure you bring your suitcases to your accommodation. 

-  One set or more sets of keys will be given to you. Take care of your keys. Deposit kept If you loose them.

🛎 Arrival : 

 

Kindly do not use the bell once you have collected your keys.

(It rings on smartphones  and not at Maison Chanzy) There is no reception, We cannot open the door from distance. 

 

Follow the instructions we’ve sent you for a self check-in with a key safe.

It is very easy and allows you to arrive at anytime you wish.

 

Your accommodation is « the Cottage B » or/ and « the Apart Chanzy »

🌡 Temperature : 

We all have a unique constitution ;  you are feeling either too warm or too cold ?

Let us know, we’ll adapt the thermostats or provide adapted sheets. 

Heaters and fans are available.

 

🛁 Bathroom : 

You will find : hair dryer, scale, magnifying mirror, towels, bathrobes.

Our shampoo, shower gels and soap are chosen consciously. ☞ www.aroma-zone.com or home made 

Run the water few seconds, it will get warm shortly.

Please do not take away our towels and bathrobes, they belong to Maison Chanzy. 🤗

 

🚽Water-closet :

Please do not throw anything else in the toilets than toilet paper.

Do not accumulate too much toilet paper - that may block the WC

Our pipes are very sensitive.

 

🗑 Cleaning : 

Included on check-in and check-out.

If you wish for housekeeping during your stay, it is possible.

 

Laundry service for your clothes is available on request

There is a Washing a machine machine in each unit

 

🌏 Eco-friendly : 

Switch off the lights, fans, AC, heats  while away.

Leave the towels on the floor if they need to be changed.

In case of heavy rains or  wind, please close the windows.

 

👩🏻‍🍳 Kitchen/dinning room :

The kitchens/ dinings are entirely private to your group. You have the full apartments to yourself.

You will find everything you need to prepare and share a meal.

Hob, oven, microwave, fridge / freezer, kettle, filter coffee machine, Nespresso machine, toaster, blender …

The apartment is well-furnished, please let us know if you need anything else.

🚰 Water :

Paris tap water is safe to drink. You may also use the filtered carafe BRITA.

The filter is changed regularly.

We use white vinegar to clean the boiler and coffee machines.

 

🖥 TV  & Sound :

You have at your disposal a smart television. Turn it on with the large remote control, choose the HDMI1 source.Then use the small remote control to surf the channels. 

Access to Netflix or Prime videos via your own ID 

Marshall Sound system in Cottage B + Sonos system in Apart Chanzy 

DVD (HDMI 2), DVDs and guides are available, kindly return them after use. 🤗

Our Wifi is unlimited and free.

Maison Chanzy is strictly non-smoking. 

( Ashes or smell of cigarettes will no be tolerated )

 

Please do not smoke in the courtyard of Apart Chanzy. Our neighbors are sensitives

 

🧘🏻‍♀️ Tranquility : 

Rooms : After 8pm and before 9am everyone should be able to rest. Loud parties are not allowed. 

you can of course enjoy cosy evenings.

 

As you go IN and OUT, Kindly keep silent in the hallway of the building of MAISON CHANZY.

 

Please do not hang out in the courtyard of Apart Chanzy

 

🔌 Electrical Network :

⚠︎The voltage in France is 220 Volts, lower or higher voltage devices require a power converter. 

Otherwise It may either blow your item or cause a general power shut.

 

Please do not unplug any devices. Power strips are available in the rooms.  If you need extra plugs, simply let us know.

 

❗️Security  : 

For security, always keep your accommodation door locked. (The building does not have security employees).

 

Maison Chanzy is classified as an Art Nouveau (Horta style) historical monument, therefore attracts a lot of curiosity.

Please do not let any strangers enter without authorization. 

It is a private guests house, not accessible to public. 

 

This neighborhood is very safe, it is ok to walk at night time. 

We are partners with the local Police office. They will react if needed.

We advise you to use the G7 taxis. 

Very efficient and secure in Paris.

There is also the Metro Charonne (line 9) - at 7mn walk.

There is nothing to do, the cleaning team will take care of everything.

Leave all the keys on the dining table.

Please check your belongings - No shipping service.

 

🛄 Luggages :

Early arrival : You may drop off your luggages

Late departure : Store your bags behind the door « luggages » and collect them before $pm.

Please don’t forget to return the keys.

The deposit may be kept in case of :

  • Lost or missing keys

  • Non reported guests ( non-residents are not allowed unless authorized before )

  • Ashes or smells of cigarettes

  • Climbing on the roofs - garden side

  • Missing or damaged items & fournitures
